Only the an aircraft with two P-47 engines could beat the IJN Aobo and the Short Stirling ... the Marauder so the painting was completed late this afternoon, pretty machines 8) Off to the printers tomorrow.

Back into the watch and build , as mentioned this card, not really for pencil sketching but when you start seeing results it dose once printed looks very much a Japanese style artwork ... very hard to show in these screens , now have to let the graphite dry , the Dauntless got a little more detail added and the IJN Aoba is starting to score the looks - still a lot off work.

This is were this card I'm working on is so ideal for changing so many details, to create an action shot , the angles and perspective/adding/removing .. one thing it hands itself to , the etchings give the prove and character to the original drawing.

Thanks guys :) , It is a lot off fun , best way to show not just show how it starts but also showing the mistakes and to rectify them and in some places the canvas - gloss sided cereal cardboard - its so durable but can can also leave a trace from the editing.

OK Back to work, actually 'again' it the gloss card being difficult to work on, the one thing it lends it hand to is the ability to use a on slightly damp artist brush , the affect once dried gives it that 'Whauw Factor' , the time here is also once the general layout is there, requires another really fun part - the research , hence in go's the rubber and the modifications, next , still to add ratlines, step rigging and course the warring sky with flak 8) .. then off to work on the two Dauntless aircraft.

Thanks Lewis :) , I think everyone has their niche in what ever style, the aircraft computer models, scenery, this is simply another but it is a little like eyeball scenery design, aircraft and warships have always been glued into me, I think its like watching a movie but beginning there ... old days I did it in black ball point pen so if I made a mistake it shows, now starting to use these new materials ... some is still experimentation.

The ole Christmas tree ... look at it this way, I don't have to clean up the pine needles :D

Yeah :) , I would say that too , its also an inspiration thing to turn and look then continue with the others in the works. I think the lesson here is trying out the different styles and having them for people to chose from.

Away from this project again but back into it, this happens, one asked me to do a portrait so my energy when into that, good thing is you don't go stale, idea is to jump across to different works , with the recent portrait .. required a lot off colour change and blending and for some reason this specific drawing Colour was added, went I did this I thought I made a mistake But .. Hmm, I think this is a great idea.
Image
From here the change from the above and all previous photos posted , this is all pencil and water type and simple colour pencil, the material I'm drawing on is very durable so a little water can be added.
