Cool pictures. Seems like a lot of Pilatus P-3's were present there.
Thanks for sharing

Great shots, I really loved the Stearmans and the C45. Such good airplanes. The Bf-108 is an airplane that has intrigued me since seeing one on the cover of Air Classics or Flying magazine years ago. Thanks for sharing,
Chris

Chris, there is the French example of this, a Nord 1101 Noralpha at the Tillamook Air Museum in Oregon. Different engine and converted to tricycle gear. I agree this is a compelling aircraft. It caught my eye the first time I saw it. I'll see if I have some photos to post.bmbrzmn101 wrote:..... Thanks again, Jens, for the "annual" update of interesting aircraft! I grew up around Cessnas and Pipers, so seeing their European counterparts, especially from the 40's 50's and 60's is always refreshing.

P3 Flyers formation team consisting of private pilots.
Some more planes were announced, but due to bad weather en route, had to stay away.

Yes the Messerschmitt 108 was for its time and compared to modern GA still is a very impressive aircraft. And it beautiful too. I have to say though that I like the Messerschmitt taildragger better than the Nord with a try circle gear.Jacques wrote: Chris, there is the French example of this, a Nord 1101 Noralpha at the Tillamook Air Museum in Oregon. What nice pics - most of those planes I've never seen for real. But that Twin Beech! ...small world... I met the pilots ferrying it over to you guys when it stopped here in Duluth, MN. Very kind men and they let me take some quick pics of it.
Not the best pics from my mobile, but decent!
First pic shows my "office" in the background - one of the shortest and oldest control towers in the US.
This pic I like, especially because it shows the "then" experimental Cirrus Vision Jet departing in the background
I'm a fan of modern instruments in older planes... this cockpit has a nice mix I'd say
