Hello Everyone!!

Well, for all practical purposes the New England Adventure is finally done!!! :(

We had another fine turn out. :) We started out at KASH, flew down over Westover ARB (Springfield Mass), then up over Pittsfield Mass, over to Albany N.Y., and we landed at Saratoga Springs - unfortunately it was too cold so the horses weren't running!!!! :?

From there we traveled towards Wadkins Glen, then over to Buffalo, Niagara Falls and then we turned Southeast and headed for Pocono Pa - finally ending up at KNXX!!

For the most part, we had pretty good weather today except for the end - New Englang just wouldn't let go without having the final say!!!! (as you'll see by the pic below)

Again, I want to say thankyou to those who participated. I hope it was at least entertaining at times!! I certainly had fun doing it..

I hope you all enjoyed the pics - looking forward to the next adventure where ever that may take us!!! Here's just a couple on todays flight..

Like WND said we finally wound up this adventure. A rough guess using a map is that in the last 6 weeks we covered approximatly 5000 miles since leaving the Cayman Islands at the end of February.

We've already started roughing together an idea for the next WOP Adventure series of flights. Nothing is set in stone as of yet. My guess is that possibly we'll take a break this next coming weekend and set off on a new course the following Saturday.

Until the next official WOP Adventure departure time our base camp will stay here at Willow Grove NAS (KNXX). A few of us are probably going to make flights from here back to our own home bases during the break and then rendevous back at KNXX when the time comes.

To the regulars... if you get a chance before the next TO, take a look at your lists over in the "Official Hanger List " thread and let me know if you want to make any changes. The one thing I ask is that you try to narrow down your master list aircraft entries to one or two aircraft paints of each model if you haven't already. The idea is to keep the main listings as simple as possible so that anyone new wanting to join doesn't have to go find dozens and dozens of paint jobs just to get started. Remember that if you decide to deviate from your master listing, the actual aircraft you want to fly for a flight need only be put up in the current active touring flight thread prior to take off.

To any new pilots thinking of joining in... during the break is a great time to work out any questions or tech help you might need in getting setup to fly on the air tours. There's almost always some of the regulars flying that can give you a hand. Getting everything working before an actual flight will save you a lot of aggravation and frustration. It really stinks to watch a fellow pilot get left behind or nuked off the server because of some tech glitch or lack of proper pre-flight checks.

Again and as always thanks to everybody that joined us along the way. It's been a lot of fun.

Stay tuned for more. We'll be back at ya as soon as we nail down the plan.

Adventure #4 coming soon !!!! :)

Nice shots FAC and WND,

Due to some strange technical problem i was stuck on the ground at KASH after i signed up at the Netwings forum. So I stayed back there and polished and cleaned some parts of the plane that got dirty during the past weeks and I hope the plane will be nice and shiny in time for the next adventure.

Regards,

Meso

Thanks for allowing me to tag along here and there. It was great getting the full narrated tour of all the points of interest. I have ordered the newly released box set of fighters. Hope they come soon. Maybe next time I will be able to see everyone as they should be seen. In their own skins!! Hmmm, that sounds a little risque doesn't it? Oh well you know what I meant. You guys are great. Thanks again for allowing me to tag along.

FAC and I have talked about a flight going across the US visitng the differents AFB's or a flight around Africa. For the Africa flight, if people wanted they could fly across the Atlantic from KNXX to our starting point in Africa (not required though).

Just some thoughts.

redrooster.
