The Shuttleworth Collection

Post by torwal8 »

A great video I found showcasing the fantastic shuttleworth collection. Its a bit long, but worth watching in full, IMO. Some great spitfire shots and sounds around 46 minutes

old warden is a fantastic place end of story! its great walking through the hangers knowing that 90% of everything you see is actually flyable and has very likely flown during the last month or so!

I'm another ex-contributor to the SVAC, although I had to give it up when my back decided that throwing a constant fit was more interesting than pointing out how big a Lysander really is to someone who didn't believe me.

Unfortunately I really do know better than to suggest that A2A and Shuttleworth should tie up and recreate some of their collection, which is why I only do it... once every week or so?

(I am joking... I think I've mentioned it to Lewis once or twice and some other guy who also lives in this country once or five times. He knows who he is! :))

Cheers,

Ian P.

Great video and interesting about the Lizzie. I thought the same when I first stood infront of a Stuka. Bloody massive for a single engine aircraft!

Thanks for sharing. Outstanding movie of a great collection of old airplanes. This is a collection of airplanes I'd love to see some day.

Great video! I'm only 1/3 through it so far, but that Bristol F.2b has the most beautiful sounding engine I've heard on any aircraft in a very long time! And it looks amazing too.
