Hi there,

i am an advanced simmer using a single powerful computer only for FSX. The setup and adjustments are done spending a lot of time over month to get my best results. Additional i use lots of payware addons, but only those who are the best on simulation market in my opinion. That means my finding concerns only my A2A accusim fleet, this is no general minor sound error at my system.

I am asking if someone else can confirm my finding, i think that could be generally improved by A2A:
In external views, changes in throttle inputs comes audible too much time-delayed at my point of view.
Enjoying the individual merlin sounds on ground playing with the throttle lever generates fast thrust reaction of the aircraft, but the engine sound reacts time delayed. Thrust pushes the aircraft forward before sound reaction is hearable.

Additional sound is too less powerful in engine sound details and intensity. Would be great to have a little more liveliness and more roar, thrust reaction is fine.

Can someone confirm?

King regards,

Nico

I believe you're actually hearing the aircraft in real time. The engine manifold pressures should come online pretty quickly, but the engine itself should lag slightly behind. I could be wrong, but I think that is correct.

Hi Cody,

but why is the time delay in sound reaction only in external view? Inside VC everything is fine. Spool up sound reacts better.
It could really be a little bit faster and more roar in external view.

I'm not nearly qualified to answer this properly. Perhaps someone else will come along and answer it better for you mate. Cheers regardless.

I believe Scott once said that the host sim, FSX creates the external sound and the Accu-Sim engine runs the internal from the cockpit sound. that might explain why the sound lag only occurs outside the cockpit.

Ah yes, i remember. You should be right. I am sure Scott and his team will find a solution for that in future updates. :)
That accusim quality in details, as well as the merlin deserves that goosebumps feeling in external view. Just like the real.

Nice screen shots. I need to get that P-51. Here are some of mine:

Hi,

are there any news, feedback due to the spoolup sound issue? I also want some reactions due to recognize possible errors at my system.

Kind regards,

Nico

Until A2A (or anyone for that matter) finds some way of completely replacing the FSX external sound engine, then there is little hope for the changes you are looking for. As was already mentioned in this thread, A2A completely did away the default FSX sound engine in the virtual cockpit (you can see this if you turn off the Accu-sim sound, the VC will be completely silent.) FSX is generating the external sounds which don't quite "line up" with the internal Accu-sim sounds. I don't see this as a problem personally, A2A have already done more than any developer has ever done with FSX. But it would indeed be cool if someone found a workaround for external sounds too!

Thanks molleh for feedback.

Ok that still seems to be a not solvable FSX issue at the moment due to two different sound generating systems at two different views. One made by A2A and one FSX standard.

Thanks for information.
