There is some interesting FSX development going on around here.

"Stuff" is plural, for more than one...

You think A2A might be involved in this?

I saw on that site where the aircraft one would be flying would be developed by A2A Sims... hmmmm maybe that tiny pic was a sneak peak of a Super Texan?

Sounds like loads of fun with the career mode bit but the $49.95 a month is wayyyyyyy too pricey for me.

Is this plane in Scott's avatar at this forum ( http://forum.avsim.net/topic/380808-fli ... ns-strong/ ) the same one we are talking about?

I've looked closer, and there appears to be no corner radius on the side window, unless it's outside of the cropped area.

I'm pretty sure that picture on AVSIM is from Scott's old Piper he used to own when he was younger. Anyways, I shall digress. I don't think Scott would want me participating in this conversation. :D

Hey guys and girls,

glad you are enjoying the little hints. We will have a proper A2A Simulations update within a month. In the meantime I can confirm that,...

We are working directly with redbird simulations and its been great to help celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Piper Cub. If at Oshkosh this year go give them a visit!
'Flying' article; http://www.flyingmag.com/news/redbird-i ... -simulator

We have also been working with Saitek/Madcatz along with Iris and Razbam on the following. Again, if you want to give it a go you can visit there booth at Oshkosh to get some hands on Fun and further details;

News on in house projects and as mentioned a bit of a general, whats been happening at A2A Simulations will be coming soon

cheers,
Lewis and A2A Simulations

I enjoyed watching that video, I especially like Jerry Gregoire's answer as to why they built the simulator; "... Just, just because." Reminds me of when I do things that others may feel to be frivolous, and if asked why I did it; Well, because I can.

I've no doubt we'll also enjoy news from A2A's in-house projects, as It seems a long time since we've had the pleasure of Scott's infectious enthusiasm.

As ever - thanks Lewis,

John.

I wonder if we'll see any more cropped hints before long, reminds me of the 'spy' shots magazines like MCN publish of manufacturers prototypes.

Just for giggles I'd ask for a 1x900pxl screenshot.

John.

I find myself very curious about the GPS unit that was shown in the initial screenshot. I have the Reality-XP stuff, (which costs mucho dinero, but is way cool), and ever since the Real Air Dukes, compatability with these excellent units has become a major factor. I hope whatever the GPS is, it isn't just a prettier version of the default GPS, or if it is, provisions are made to swap it with a 430/530, preferably with full 3D knob support like the Real Air planes.

It's a Garmin 420GNC, or at least depicts that model.

I agree, it'd be nice to have provisions for the RealityXP avionics, I too have the GPS units.

For convenience sake;

Pay particular attention to the NRST button.

Of course, with these things they may simply be used as place-holders to get a rough idea of the layout during development, so who knows what will be in there.
