No plans in the near future at least, but you never can say for sure in the world of aviation. Scott.

Hey Scott, I am curious, which process would be easier or preferred. Is it easier to start with a non accusimmed model, then do the accusimmed work, or start with an accusimmed core, then build the aircraft to fit?

ie Take the Aircraft Factory Corsair...then develop an accusimmed R2800 core for it.

or Start with say the Allison V-1710 core, then build a P-39 or somthing for it for example.

I am sure they are both difficult challenges, but with the modular accusim technology, I was curious what was the preferred path.

Cheers
TJ

Well, first, when you say "Accu-Sim" it means a deeply researched aircraft, testing, manuals, etc. It's just a long process. At this point, we could Accu-Sim any aircraft about as easy as any other, provided it doesn't have any unique or overly complicated modern avionics. It simply comes down to time.

Starting with an older model doesn't make it harder for Accu-Sim, but rather harder to just make it look great and be accurate.

Not sure if this helps,
Scott.

And one of the larger problems with the F4U is that so many operators have switched to the R2800-CB3 which is a civilian version of the engine with significantly different performance to the wartime engines, especially in respect to dry takeoff horsepower and high altitude performance.
