I understand that they are two entirely different kind of aircraft and of simulation :) but considering the framerate/smoothness (stuttering propensity) what would be the the most forgiving for my present laptop that i cannot overclock over 3.2 gHz ? With Accusim of course.

Thanks for any insights

If you choose just between this both, then the P40.

The B377 is also very frame friendly, but when you count for every frame, the B377 is a bit more demanding in my opinion.
However you should get the B377 in any case as it is a incredible addon!

I second that. As far as performance goes the P-40 is definitely more streamlined. Eventually you should get both, though. ;)

I run both of them fine on my AMD Phenom II 940 with 3GHz (Desktop PC) and GeForce 560 Ti 1GB.

Both are very excellent addons. Like the P-51 vs B-17 thread, it is mostly about what type of flying you like to do. Both are very unique experiences. The 377 is a large multi engine aircraft, with systems and flying proceedures to match.

The P-40 is a rugged single seat fighter with the style and systems to match. Of all the A2A fighters so far I still believe the P-40 is the best suited to low level scenery exploration involving multiple takeoffs and landings. It really does have an 'attitude' that is a perfect match for the likes of Wild Bill Kelso from the movie '1941'...it will run on 91 Octane...guess thats why Wild Bill liked to fill up at gas stations

With your system specs the P-40 might be preferable too because being a single engine fighter and a little bit simpler systems wise.

Thanks guys. I want both all right but got a very nice aircraft from another developper last week that proved slightly too rich for my laptop blood, nothing awful but... so I'm careful right now.
