Scott,

I am pretty jaded FS-wise...and despite that, this B-17 and the way it feels and responds just blow me away every time I fly it. Hate to keep goung on about it, but.....wow!

Yes, I too would love another heavy aircraft. I can't help but thinking the B-25 would make a fantastic Accusim aircraft. A little less heavy than some you are mention, but nontheless fantastic.

Not too long after WWII there was a weather recon done in a B-17 that went all over the world, checking both the weather and radio transmission from different parts of the globe. they apparently got into a lot of heavy weather. At the time, I believe it was top secret. I have lost a lot of the details to fading memory but I thought that would be an interesting mission for the B-17, especially if you dial up the weather. Maybe somebody out there has the details of this historic flight.
