This might have been asked before, but I can not find an answer at the moment.

Is it possible to change the shift + 2-9 keys?

I will change the keys to bring up the menus and loading and garage and that stuff. Is it possible to remove the shift key for example and just use the numbers or change it to some other single keys on the keyboard or even better to a joystick button?

Can some please help me with this, either post a link or tell me how to do it if it is possible?
If it is not possible just tell me and it is not much to do.

I also have a question about if it would be possible to animate the co-pilot, engineer and radio/navigator? In external mode you can see this folks in the Boeing 377 and in the B-17. Is it possible to have them there also when you is inside the cockpit, like you have Heidi there in the Cub, so would it be nice to the crew there in this two aircraft. And when you let the engineer controle his things you can see him do it if you move to external view, I would have loved to see him do the same when I am in the cockpit. Is it not possible to have them there?

Yes, that will for sure happens. And it could be made so you can add them if your computer is strong enough or not if you have not a strong computer.

But I realy would like to know if the first thing is possible. To change the key for the menue's?

A store near me is selling realy cheap Logitech MK250 keyboard, a wireless one with a wireless mouse. And I am thinking to buy to of them and use for different aircrafts.
Then it would have been nice to set it up so I do not need to use and key + another key. I will have just one key commands, then could I build something on top of the keyboard, but it is difficult when there is this key + key command. So please, I hope some can help me?

Sorry, I don't have a reply for the first question, but regarding the animated co-pilot... in the Piper Cub Heidi loads up when you load the aircraft, whether you select her or not... this is why, despite it's simplicity, I get a significant performance when using the Cub compared to other A2A models. I too would love a co-pilot for my B-17, but I suppose there would need to be two different model files for the aircraft, so frames are not affected if you choose no company on your flight.

Also adding a co-pilot would inevitably lead to lots of complaints that he didn't actually use his arms and hands to perform each of the different tasks required correctly. For me this would be no problem, but A2A might open a nasty can of worms if they tried it!

Hi Wiqvist,

You wrote: "Is it possible to change the shift + 2-9 keys"?

There is a tool called "FS Panel studio" from Flight 1
I havn't used it on any A2A planes but it makes changing most panels (including the shift + 2-9 keys) very easy.

Happy flights

M Jordan.

Thank you for your answers.

And thank you so much for the advice of the program. I looked at it, and the add on of cource seems useful for many things, but, to just change the 'shift + 2-9' keys it is a bit expensive to buy a program just for that. I got a very low pension from the goverment, because I got injured when I was 34(now 41), but I do not complain cause I still think I have it better than most persons in the world should have in my situation, even if I am counted as poor in the country I live in(Norway). So I can not afford this program at the moment. So may someone know if it possible to change this keys in an easier way?

Is it possible to open a file and remove the 'Shift'-key?

If some person here know of that, I will be very glad if you could explain it for me. Which file is this 'key-commands' stored in?

As said above, will I do this change so I can build something on top of the keyboard and it is more difficult to use a two key command instead of just one key. I also have a plan of buying rudder pedals, and cause I can not use my legs and feets(sitting in a wheelchair), so I am going to try to build something to controle the pedals by hands, then it will be great with one key commands on the keyboard so I can use one hand to controle all the other things. And I can not start the building until I know if it is possible to change this keys. So please help me.

Today I use a joystick with rudder controle on the stick, that is a very great oppertunity for us who are handicaped, so we can fly with out 'automatic rudder'. But I will have yoke for B-17 and B-377, so it become as realistic as possible, with the limits I got. And I only fly A2a's Accusim aircrafts(since my first flight with the Spitfire, so have I not used the other aircrafts, except for I sometimes take a helicopter fligt, but that is not often.

I now hope some can tell me in which file this commands is in, and if I can remove the 'shift'-key?

You are aware, are you not, that you can change the key assignments in the FSX "Controls"
menu. You can also assign joystick buttons to any FSX command and/or a keystroke or
combination of key strokes as well.

The "current" key assignments are stored in a file named "Standard.xml". Unless you are
very well versed in the FSX commands and XML code, I would advise you not to go there :)

Gypsy Baron, thank you for your answer.

Yes, I am aware of the controle change in FSX. But this menue commands are not in there.

And thank you for telling me about that file, I will have a look at it.

If no other person have an easy sollution for this, I have to buy that program, suggested before. Life is not always easy(something I have learned in a hard way, hehe), and sollutions of problems sometimes cost a bit more than expected.
