Year ago, the remains of the Bf 109 G-14 of JG77's CO - Erich Leie were found in Drogomysl close to Polish-Czech border.

Not as spectacular as the He 115 and the Sturmovik, but the engine installed in the 109 is very interesting.

Oh, and on the A2A's He 219 forum section, I posted some info about the remains of Owl found in Denmark

Always nice to see history being excavated. I'd love to excavate an aircraft one day even if there were nothing left lol. There are recorded crashes near where I live at an old WW2 airfield that apparently had Oxford and Harvards for flight training based there so I went there poking around and found in the field next to the airfield a quick release buckle, wonder what else could be found.....I sometime use it to fly my RC planes there as well.

Soviet Dakota was found in Siberia. The original US stars are still visible under the Russian cammo.
Reminds me of the B-24 which crash-landed in Alaska and still can be seen there.

Wow Lucas thanks for posting. Those images of the russian C47 are awesome. Looks like shes been on her nose with the dug in gear, caved in nose cone etc.
