The latest Accu-Sim P-40 represents the fifth platinum award from PC Pilot in a row.

Just a bit of history:
Back in early 2009, after reviewing our Accu-Sim P-47, PC Pilot created a brand new, ultimate award exceeding their Classic Award. The new award is known as their "Platinum Award."

P-47

"When the Accu-Sim P-47 came along, the more I got into it, the more I learned... it put flight simulation onto a new plateau. It raised the bar, not only on the visual side but in every aspect of the product. So for me, when I finished reviewing the product, I was comparing it to everything that had gone before, and it kind of had moved on so much that I felt, "Well, I can't give it what we usually gave high scoring products a classic award, because it was much better than those," so with that in mind, I thought, well let's create a new award that reflects that."
- Derek Davis, Editor PC Pilot

J-3 Cub
Image
"The A2A Cub utilizes the very latest features that have resulted in one of the most realistic experiences I have seen in Flight Simulator. Coupled with the Accu-Sim Expansion Pack, it opens up a whole new aspect to FSX."

B-17
Image
"A2A Raises the bar again"
"The most comprehensive and realistic simulation of a B-17 ever released"
"This is an incredible add-on in every sense of the word. It's totally immersive and immensely satisfying to master"

Spitfire
Image
"For this reviewer, A2A's Spitfire is the best World War Two aircraft simulation ever produced for Microsoft's Flight Simulator."

P-40

"Yet again, A2A Simulations had produced the most realistic, detailed and visually stunning simulation of a classic fighter currently available.”

mmmmm, I wonder what it would take to have them create a Diamond award...6 platinum in a row?

I'm sure that would happen eventually, would be a great honor for A2A. Except I hope they don't end up like poor ol' Elton John, his Candle in the Wind (Princess Diana, 1997) received 11x Platinum rating (10x and above = Diamond) but he got a platinum record, not a diamond one :(

Congratulation on 5 confirmed kills. I have a question for PC Pilot: What is (blankety blank) wrong with 377?

Now that A2A has 5 confirmed kills, someone do a repaint of P-40 with 5 PC Pilot's Platinum Award on the left side.
