Hi all,

Just a quick topic to ask some informations about how Accusim is going to evolve.

From what I remember, it has been frequently said that the current developpments for Accusim are aiming for a full modularization of the features, which could possibly end into a totally independent Accusim module/program... independent from the sim or the addon itself, somehow. The recent appearance of Accu-Feel clearly showed how critical (in a very positive way) the tranfer of some Accusim features to other addons was. The feedback from the community is quite clear as well :D

So I've been wondering if the same model (simple deductions from the content of the aircraft.cfg or .AIR files) could be used to produce some kind of Accusim-lite, which would be similar to AccuFeel but would bring some engine and airframe-related features, such as damage, wear, heat-management, etc... There are so many topics asking "when will you Accusim this plane", I believe a "lite" Accusim that could be used on any airplane just like AccuFeel would be a great addition. What do you think ?

Accu-Feel is, by definition, those things we can do globally in FSX. We're not limited by ideas, as you can see how a full-blown Accu-Sim plane works, but by what is possible. There is more we can do, and are doing with Accu-Feel, but the same also applies to Accu-Sim. It has taken some good steps forward as well, so both are moving targets.

Scott.

Thanks for your answer Scott.

So, if I understood correctly, there is a chance that such features get integrated directly into AccuFeel in future ?

We have no desire to do anything 1/2 way. Proper engine management is not simple. Maybe down the road, but not in the near term.

Scott.

For me as a customer, pure accusim models with highly detailed system functions and individual innovations is my favorite solution.

It doesn´t matter what aircraft types are still aviable at simulation market, i want it new as a new accusim developement. I think pure accusim feeling and individual system modeling is roughly reachable with an extended accu feel only, additional to any aviable 3rd party addon. I is for sure an improvement, but not replaces the absolute need of accusim Kingair 90, Cessna 152, Antonov 2, Yak 52, AT 6, Christen Eagle, DH2 Beaver, DC3, Piper Malibu, Dessault Falcon 50, Boeing 737-100/200 etc etc....

I hope Scott will soon be convinced to develope a wider field of aircraft cathegories, there is a massive request for quality i think.
