Dramatic title yeah, but... I'm just asking... I get a lot of crashes all the time. I'd say almost every fourth/fifth flight begins or ends up with a crash - when it shouldn't, no reason whatsoever, like taxiing in the middle of the runway/taxiway etc. - everything perfectly ok. I'm keeping my FSX crash detection on as usually advised by A2A manuals. What is causing these crashes:

1. Bad FSX crash detection routine?
2. Pixels of death (as we called them in WW2OL, caused crashes in the middle of air)
3. Bad scenery (I fly 99% Orbx's)?
4. Problems in the aircraft (mostly A2A)?

Or something else? Any advise/ideas? It's a bit frustrating as you never get to high flying hours with the same engine instance... I'd like to keep crash detection on to get the most out of accusim.

That's a bad advice, I must say. The FSX crash detection is useless and ridden with bugs. When I still had it enabled 90% of my crashes were caused by colliding with invisible air. Switch it off, permanently. You'll know when you crashed, because your aircraft will bounce into the air.

In another thread I think somebody said that there are invisible objects on some of the FTX airfields.
