I know here's one of those what if A2A made XYZ plane threads. Every suggestion has been a good one, if A2A makes it I would buy it. If they accusimmed a paper airplane I would probably buy it. A DC-3 would be awesome. Beech 18...awesome....anything would be awesome...even planes I hadn't really considered as 'liking' before...simply because I know each accusim experience is so unique.
Anyway...how about a Grumman Goose? Twin engine would allow A2A to explore some new 'turf' twin flight dynamics such as Vmc. Amphibious would allow A2A to expand hydrodynamics accusimming from the float Cub. It is certianly a vintage plane with classic looks, plenty of which are still flying for recording. Like the DC-3 and Beech 18 it is a very versitile plane. It has military, airline, GA, exec, bush genre applications. This could allow perhaps some sort of career type thing like COTS. The PW R-985 engine core is used in a wide variety of aircraft as well.
Just another thought for the what if pot. I know any such project would a long way out with the great projects already in line. Anyway back to enjoying the hell out of the P-40

I like the Grumman Goose as well, although if classic twin-radial amphibian were to be a parameter I'd certainly choose a PBY Catalina. I've always loved the PBY ever since watching Midway as a kid... The Naval Air Museum in Pensacola has a really great cutaway of one on display which I found fascinating.
The OZx package is nice, it certianly helps the default Goose...but you guys know what I mean when you can imagine Accusim immersion/physics/sounds in a Goose.
Do you guys remember Bill Lyon's Goose for FS2k2? Like a lot of his planes he did some almost 'pre-accusim' things by putting little bits into them. I think his Goose had a water spray effect on the winshield when you operated on the water. I think he was working on a Grumman Mallard when his health deteriorated. I think the Mallard was to have seagulls or somthing fly around it when it was in the water...nice little touches like that.
Anyway with a Goose/Widgeon/Mallard/Albatross I could see A2A having some fun with things like winshield spray, rattling noises when you are bounching through the waves like in the video above.

Does anybody remember a short lived tv show from the early '80s named the Golden Monkey or something?? I vaguely remember watching this and they were always getting attacked by Zeros or whatever. For whatever reason, whenever I see a Goose I think of that.

PS. I've been on here before a LOOONG time ago. Still have yet to purchase anything Accusimmed; last purchase was the Bombers FS9 package, on CD, mind!
While the Goose would be nice, let me remind you FSX and landing on water don't play well with each other. And the bigger and heavier the plane the worse the result.
I would be happy with the default, - Maule_M7_260C / Maule_M7_260C_Ski, - "accusimmed", It's already have a decent cockpit, (We definitely need a Stol / busch plane for more than one passenger).

Planes that turn are much more fun than those that burn, usually. I'd rather have a radial-engined Goose, and get a PT-6 later on, but those turbines are so easy, so boring in comparison. Of course that B-36 has siz turning four burning so I guess that would solve all our problems
