I have been skating with the kids a few times a week, and I have to say it’s been a blast. Ultimately, Jake and I end up in the middle playing tag, and it turns into a dogfight-like game. I have a little more speed than Jake and can also turn inside him a bit and keep teasing him that “I’m a Focke-Wulf and you are a P-38.” So with an extend out and rapid turn around, we then go head on and make a last minute break. It really the only chance of avoiding the tag as he is extremely good at the rapid tag-back. But we are laughing hysterically on those really tight turns and see him just helplessly pull outside. It’s just like a 2-dimensional dogfight and it’s funny how us ‘aviators’ naturally think this way.

If you like to skate, you should try playing tag with some friends. It’s a blast, and definitely improves the skating. I recommend wearing a helmet and pads though, because you can play harder and won't get hurt.

Scott.

Great to see you are having some time off with the family :-)

I don't think Boelcke ever thought his rule would be used on an ice rink! Tell your boy to keep the sun...(or lights) behind him!

Keep in shape guys Scott is doing this in another fun way.By the way it's not good for you to spend too much time with physical inactivity like with computers (unless lifting) so moderation the key here.Trust me a dozen years or so with little physical activity in front of a screen will get you fat and very much out of shape.

Scott keep up the good work and play too.
