Douglas D-558-2 Skyrocket, she was the first to go Mach 2 with a guy aboard. Saw plane #1 at Chino on Christmas Eve.

I got to climb in during a visit to Manching in November 1991. The West Germans were evaluating all of the East German equipment before scrapping everything except the MiG-29s. Here's the MiG-21's cockpit.
