This topic happens to be one of my favorite memories to reflect on. My first flight I was only weeks old but my first memory of flight was with my dad in a 1966 cessna 180 at 4 years old. I was of course to short to see over the panel and remember the overwhelming and puzzling shapes in front of me. I remember it was a clear evening just setting into the twilight enough for the red instrument lights and done light to be switched on giving everything a deep dull red glow. Over the AM radio I can remember, in sequence the songs that were playing which also happens to be my first memory of music. The radio was tuned to a local oldies station(when they still existed) and the first song playing was 'The Temptations-my girl' then 'The Mccoys-hang on sloopy' and lastly 'what a wonderful world by Louie Armstrong. All of which remain favorite songs of mine. I grew up, learning how to fly that 180 which in all honesty is the only material thing in my life which has always been around. From birth to now, it's seemed like an old friend.

Every once in awhile, when no one is around late at night I'll step into the pilots seat, pull the master on, switch those red interior lights on, put on an old set of tinny sounding dc's and listen to those three songs over the sound system, over and over. It's almost therapeutic. I hope you enjoyed hearing my story.

Well, my first flight wasn't that special or exiting.I was 10 and it was a flight from Frankfurt (Germany) to L'viv (Ukraine) with an Ukraine International 737-300(WL). I was flying alone and was pretty exited.

Well, after takeoff everything was fine but then we flew through some heavy turbulence and it was pretty shaky for about 20 minutes. But after the landing I could talk with the pilots. About a month later I was on the same route but with a 737-800 (UR-PSD) this time and I met the same pilot from my first flight and could sit in the cockpit.

From that moment on, I knew that I want to become a pilot. Now I've set my goal/target an I will do anything possible to reach it and make my "dream" come true.

If I'm not mistaken, that's a Hawker Nimrod.

The photo is of Shuttleworth Collection's Hawker Hind: http://www.shuttleworth.org/shuttlewort ... .asp?ID=28

Yes. We need more inter-war Hawker biplanes in FSX. Someone set a dev on it!
