This is so exciting, from the new modeling to the expansion of A2A staff, and even with the new Henkel...amazing stuff. That F-104 looks so awesome. I am still loving my P-40, I just love flying it all over the place.

Well I was dead set convinced I wasn't going to get the Spitfire, and wait for the P-51D but now I am not so sure. Been doing a lot of research, and stuff. The more research I do the more appealing it looks. Here is an interesting video of a cockpit walk around that I thought was very helpful as far as describing stuff in it.

I've been flying the Spit exclusively for the past couple of weeks, and I'm getting really proficient with my landings now. It's feeling better and better all the time. Why do I mention this? Because I'm getting desperate for the accusim version of my new found love.

The pilots must have really loved flying this plane, I don't know what it is exactly, but everything seems to just gel, it all comes together, and I feel. . . . . . . . free, for want of a better word. I'm really hoping I feel the same in the new release, and I hope A2A gives me a nice christmas present. Well not "gives" exactly, I will pay obviously, I mean gives as in releasing it for christmas.

I get the feeling the Spit is going to need relearning all over again after Accusim comes out. I'm slowly losing patience though!!! :|

Oooooeee! I can't wait! I am very curious what happens when the jets go super-sonic.

To be honest guys, even without Accusim, the Spitfire is a wonderful bird to fly. Okay it doesn't have the engine realism of the P47 with Accusim yet, but it really does "feel" great up there in such a powerful, yet manoeuvrable airframe. It has, as one would expect, a totally different feel to modern GA craft. I, for one, have not for a second been disappointed with it.

The test pilot allegedly said of the first prototype: "don't change a thing!".

I've got the RealAir Spit, and whilst it is a commendable effort, it isn't A2A standard. That is not to say it is not good, only that A2A is in a whole new league, and flying anything else doesn't compare. :D

Regarding the P-51 vs. Spitfire - get both. They are quite different, even though they share the same engine.

Best regards,
Robin.

lol yeah the RealAir Spit was what made me decide to crossover to FSX. The Mk.IX was always my favorite variant, but that was some years ago. While I think she still holds her own as a quality virtual steed, I think she is comparable to CH's FW190. I think this A2A Spit with Accusim will be amazing and will be the next step in a natural evolvement of FS technologies.

With this transferring/expanding of accusim technologies, I wonder if A2A would consider building on the B377 research in to a B-50 for a bomber project. That might be a nice alternative choice for those who want a B-29 but would save A2A some research time, as it would share the same engines, wings, landing gear and other various systems as the B377

Cheers
TJ

Like everyone else.....I'm itching to grab ANYTHING A2A produces......They have ruined me from wanting to fly anything else. (smile)

I believe I saw a question posted in another thread sometime back asking IF....they purchased the P-51, would they just have to purchase the Accusim package once the 51 was released? As I recall......the answer was "NO"..... a complete new aircraft and the Accusim package was required as it was an entirely new aircraft etc., etc.

I'm fine with that....and have been anxiously awaiting as I know it will be marvelous?

My question......will the Spitfire be the same arrangement??? I'd love to purchase it now....but really don't want to buy the aircraft twice......no offense......just have to plan the old finances you know. (smile)

Cheers,
