As with practically ALL of A2A Simulations products, I intend to buy the F4 when it comes out too. The quality of A2A products just can't be beat. Keep 'em coming guys...my money's burning a hole in my pocket!

I too am eagerly awaiting this release :D. It might be a little late in the development to post suggestions, but a feature I really liked on the IRIS F-16D is a switch that automatically put the aircraft in a "cold and dark" state, completely shut down. It also had an auto-start switch but I didn't much care for that since I love following the checklists, but the "auto shutdown" switch, if you will, came in very handy. It's more convenient than loading a saved flight or flipping all the switches to get to that state. Being able to jump in the F-16D in any flight and just hit that button and then start the start-up procedure is a great feature to have I think. Just a recommendation though :).

Can't wait for the release! You guys are probably busy working, but it means a lot (at least to me) to be able to see some in-development pictures. Plus, it helps with the waiting  .

All the Accusim aircraft have this already! :) I am sure the F-4 will have it too!

Oh excellent :). I have not had first-hand experience with any AccuSim aircraft, but from what I have heard, seen and read here on the forum I can understand that it brings a whole new level of realism to flying. A lot of videos done by makers of military aircraft just show crazy maneuvers and high speed flying, but I was pleasantly surprised by the A2A videos - very informative and a pleasure to watch :).

I look forward to many hours in the Phantom driver's seat once it's released :D.

Looks like I will finally be able to put to use my:

Natops Flight Manual F-4J Aircraft: Navair 01-245FDD-1

It's available on Amazon.co.uk in case other folk fancy one (and probably other places too).

There is a periscope films version of the manual as well.
But have bought their stuff before and got badly printed half tone dot photocopied pages, or something of that ilk, so loathe to buy from them without knowing in advance if it is worth it quality wise.
Also they don't say which version of the Rhino it is, so not sure if it's the same a I already have.
Anyone have that? Is it any good?

Would love an F-4E manual, or one detailing the weapons employment.

This page has some useful information, including various manual designations, perhaps it can be of some use: http://members.chello.nl/m.waterloo/f4-phantom.html

It also has a layout of all F-4 models side by side for easy visual distinction :): http://members.chello.nl/m.waterloo/ima ... rsions.jpg

the Periscope Film version is Tech Order AN 01-45HB-1, NAVAIR 01-245FDB-1 NATOPS flight manual for F4B with latest revision dated 15 Aug 1972.

It is a photocopy and the panel photos aren't the greatest, but all the performance curves are readable. It's at least 1 1/2 inches thick .... a lot of pages.

Cheers krswen.

At least I know its not the F-4J manual I already have.
Will chance it and get a copy.

Shame they photocopy like that.
Some like the B24 one were fine, but others like their B-17 one are really badly copied.

Accusim or not accusim: that is the question.

While the pictures of the cockpit are gorgeous, as much the animations, at this point FSX have plenty of pretty faces but most of them are just for a one night stand, there is little behind the nice looking outside. I want some rich interior life to finally get a long term relationship with a fighter in FSX.

Will I have to care if my Phantom is leaking hidraulics before I start it? Will she spin if I use aleiron instead just rudder when I am close to stall? Will I ever hear tha bang of an engine stall?...

I really would like to know not when it will be release, not a what stage is right now, not what model you are making... but only if it will it be an accusim product or not. If so, you got a buyer here.

Cheers

I would have to agree. A pretty plane is great fun, but it doesn't last long if the content under the hood doesn't match its initial level of appeal.

I second that completely - that's why I love the P-47 Accusim so much. She's very dynamic and I gotta stay in touch to keep her going. I think all of us can identify with a great looking aircraft exterior and then getting in the cockpit and nothing is clickable or works correctly. Even worse - if it reuses all of the stock FS sounds! Shudder...

Can't wait to fly the Spook... the former main fighter of my USN, haze grey and underway.
