Re: F4 Phantom In Development Picts
Please don't hate me...But....F-4N shows just above the wing?
And the fuse shows F-4J/S?
So if my aging mind remembers right...They are all 3 different.
The "J's" Had the bump on the wing for the landing gear.
The B/N didn't have them? Thinner "Tires"
I know it is early but.....And I'm looking forward to this....But which one are ya doin'?
Just kinda curious as Phantom lover.

I highly recommend you consider purchasing one for yourself and finding-out...
It is a real experience in as far as FSX will allow.

Great to see a Navy Phantom in development and one for FSX that we'll be able to use with a moving carrier.
F-4N, F-4J, & F-4S versions noted in that external view and as CODY614 stated, they are all slightly different looking models.

SCOTT!!!! THANK YOU... THANK YOU... THANK YOU!!!! I'm an die-hard F4 fan!! Been one all my life and can't wait for this beauty to be released!! I already have the IRIS F4 (and have added a US Navy and USAF camo repaint) and really like it, BUT I know, for a FACT that A2A's F4 will DOMINATE! Thanks for the screenshots!

Oh, please, please say you are also doing an F-4E model in the batch as well?

Re: F-4E???
I'll second that! Great to see the Navy Phantom in development, but the Air Force variants would be my first choice, especially the 'C and 'E. The 'C because of its history in Vietnam with Operation Bolo and all, the 'E because I've always thought it was the best-looking Phantom (and considered the lack of an internal cannon a major omission from other F-4s) and because it was far and away the most widely-exported version...FlyingsCool wrote:Oh, please, please say you are also doing an F-4E model in the batch as well?
Either way, the Phantom is looking astounding! I'll definitely buy this one as soon as it's released...
Re: F4 Phantom In Development Picts
Please, when you consider developing the HUD, make it collimated (in the realm of graphics, that means it must be rendered outside the cockpit, not at the hud glass), like the HUD of the AS F-16. This way it will look right in stereo-3D. Maybe one day S-3D will be mainstream and you all will understand how real a properly done HUD feels. That green symbology floating like a ghost outside the cockpit, just like the real thing, I love it!

A2A was the first developer who did collimated gunsights (back in FS2004). So don't worry about thatcrim3 wrote:Please, when you consider developing the HUD, make it collimated (in the realm of graphics, that means it must be rendered outside the cockpit, not at the hud glass), like the HUD of the AS F-16. The F4 Phantom is an absolutely cool airplane to make. It will bring back old memories of my year in Vietnam. I guess I'll have to build a new hanger for this proud old girl!
