I ban patful for expecting me to use words that are not listed in the Oxford Living Dictionary and, in any event, are not words that are currently (if they were ever) in use in modern English. Also, if a writer would be clear, effective and not too much of a bore the words he or she selects to convey the meaning of what he or she intends should be only those that most people would recognize and immediately understand without having to go to the Oxford Living Dictionary.
