How to get the MW-50 gauge opperate like the real one

Post by al tom »

Technical information.
In the reality the manifold pressure was used as MW-50 pressure.
The 115 liters MW-50 are stored behind the pilot seat in a bottle.
A safety valve limited the pressure to 0.75 kg/sqr cm (22.44 inHG)
The switch, WEP GM/MW in the WoP 190 program, was in reality the fuse for the circuit.
Electrical behind the fuse there was a -toggle OFF switch-, you can see this switch on the left console, close to the throttle limit position.
The pilot has to switch on the fuse (always ON) and the -toggle OFF switch- (Kippausschalter, part No. Fl 32350)
Inside of the left conolse there was a switch (part No. Fl 32329-1) connected to the throttle.
To activate the MW50, the pilot has to push the throttle to the limit.
This will close the switch at the throttle and a valve, mounted on the No.1 spar, is activated and the liquid get sprayed into the charger intake.
MW50 was only available in the full throttle position.
And only then shows the meter (Fl 20504-3) a pressure, the spray pressure.
I trayed to get a little closer to the reality.
This is my the result.
I trayed to get also the throttle position incorporated, but I do not know the right xml-commands.
My be somebody in the FS/WoP-community know the right command.

Prg. functinal description.
The same mw_pressure_bg.bmp file as background and the same needles
The max. pressure is limited to 0.75 kg/cm2 (22.44 inHG)
The indicated value is equal to the manifold pressure minus Kohlsman setting (reference air pressure)
The pressure will drop to zero, if MW-50 is deactivated.
The tooltip shows the remaining MW-50 in the bottle.

:!: 1st SAFE THE ORIGINAL - wop_fw190D.cab - (this is a zipped folder in reality).
Remove the -wop_fw190D.cab- folder from the gauge cabinet.
Create a file folder - wop_fw190D - in the Flight Simulator - Gauges - folder.
Unzip the hole - wop_fw190D.cab - and save all files in the new file folder - wop_fw190D -.
Rename the - mw pressure.xml - into - mw pressure_old.xml.

The new - mw pressure.xml - file

CORRECTIV ACTION

Replace the (A:Kohlsman setting hg,inHg) with the following
(A:Ambient pressure,inHG)

My fault, sorry!
