Manifold Pressure
Manifold Pressure
Is there no manifold pressure simulated? I climbed up to 5000 meters and I saw no drop. I wanted to see if the chargers engage but I didnt noticed it.

yep in cfs3 only the pressure above critical altitude is simulated but that´s not right for engines with high and low gear driven Boosters like BMW801 (FW190) and JUMO213A in FW190D except the DB 600 serie´s Engines in Bf109,Bf110,Me410 and perhaps a few TA152 had barometrical regulated Boosters with now gear change and turboboosted Engines like PW1800 (P47;F4U) or Wright Cyclone in B17.
The change in the second Booster stage which have Engines like the RR in P51 or SpitIX and later or the 3stage,3gears Booster in the TA152H should be simulated in boostpressure depending on altitude. Oleg did it not bad imao in IL2/FB.
It would be very nice if the Shockwave team can include such important things especially while they promise "Full Realism" in their modells.

here a good information about all 190´s and TA´s with it´s Engines .
http://www.focke-wulf190.com/indexneu.htm
the critical altitude for the Jumo213a in 190D9 was ca. 18500ft=5600m and for the Jumo213E in 190D11 and TA152H ca. 31500ft=9600m.
But the best speed they reached above the critical altitude; f.e. 190D9 427 mph in 21500ft . This was due to the lower air density which needs lower Power (boost pressure decreased).
So it would be very fine if this can be implemented.
PS: for the BMW801D in FW190A4-A8 the critical altitude was 17500ft and for the A9 with BMW 801S 18550ft .
