Flight Pics From Deenethorpe

Post by FAC257 »

I missed the flight mission today due to firewall/router problems but managed to get things working on Netwings a little while ago.

While testing things and doing T&Gs at Deenethorpe I ran into a few folks with WOP aircraft at the field.

Here's a few shots with WOP wingman Super64.

I am starting to think about doing an upgrade to that field. Eg adding a fuel station, signal square and such.

It's a great place to fly in and out of. Really adds to the warbird atmosphere.

I've beefed up the AI traffic there a bit. Right now I have 22 aircraft flying in and out. B-17s & P-51s. There are a few P-38s in the flightplans which are being a little stubborn at showing up and need a little tweaking in a data line somewhere.

Sadly from the air UK01 reminds me of B-17 II which I really enjoyed. :)

Most of the time I do my FS9 flights with the WOP B-29s and have done a little work with West Tinian - PGWT which is home base for my WOP Super Forts. Just some detailing for interest using RWY12 & AFCAD.

Yeah that was a lot of fun. I got several good shots of us but these were the best ones. I didn't get one of me sitting on my nose next to you on the runway when I stepped on the brakes too hard. :D

Lookin, forward to another flight sometime.

Thanks !

FAC257, where did you get the Deenethorpe textures? I fly for the 401stBG at the site in my sig for v8thOps. I'd love to have it for FS9 for the 17s.... please. ~S!~

Look for the file called "deenetho.zip" on Flightsim.com

I think it may also be at Simouthouse and Avsim under "Deenethorpe" ????

If you haven't found them yet, there is also a file called "wopb17.zip" that has
5 repaints for the WOP B-17 in the 401st colors.

46th_Terror, any way you could update the Deenethorp field to work with the FSGenesis 76.4m terrain mesh so it can be used with the Golden Wings terrain?

Golden Wings looks so much better than the original terrains in FS9.

I ahve been thinking about updating Deenethorpe. As I now have Goldwn Wings and it is now my prefered WOP flight area I will update Deenethorpe to work with Golden Wings.
