Boost and canopy.......

Post by mudmarine »

I need some help guys...in more ways than one :D First, I can't seem to be able to find the proper switch/knob to use the boost on the throttle quad? Also is there a way to open the canopy? Just trying to stay as close to the cecklist as possible. Thanks for the help! Semper Fi, MudMarine

Shift E to open and close the canopy. I don't think you CAN use the Turbo handle though. It moves automatically. One of the limitations of FS9.

Yes, boost control is automatic, the turbo lever will just follow the throttle automagically (as it would in real life) but of course without any visible means of support! The war emergency power (water injection) will activate at about 90 percent throttle as in the real aircraft.

Unfortunately Intercoolers are not modeled in FS9. :(

 I think what MudMarine may be asking or at least what I would like to know is:

In the Checklist in the manual that comes with the WOP - P47 it says

"To activate emergency boost, turn the switch on the electrical panel to "AUTO". The water injection will come on automatically whenever the throttle is advanced beyond 95 percent. Leave the switch off for takeoff and normal flying."

Where do I find this switch and can it be assigned to the keyboard?

Thanks,

WBJ aka Cfyr

PS: Awesome aircraft. Thank you Shockwave! :D

It is on the right side of the 2d electrical panel.

 I was looking in the VC, not the 2D panel.

Anyone know a way to map this to a key or direct x button?

The switch in question is on the electrical panel, that is, the popup panel that comes up when you click on the electric panel icon. :)
