How are the 47s coming along?

Post by Hawk »

Hi Scott,
I'm not in any way trying to be pushy or ask for a firm release date. I was just wondering how the 47s were coming along. I've been doing some flying with redrooster online in WOP planes and we were talking today about the 47s and wondering when we'd get to use them in our flights. :)

Thanks,
Hawk

Yeah, we both can't wait to fly them, especially the XP-72 :D
But, as Hawk said, we're not pushing for a release date, just a progress report and maybe some new pics

Cheers,
redrooster.

Sorry, fellas, a release date, even a tentative one, will only embolden the enemy.

The plane is coming along well. The closer you get the cockpit detail, the better it looks.

Here are some nightime shots:

What Hawk said :D .
Of all the WOP aircraft, this one looks the best, both in terms of visuals and effects. The number of guages and knobs in the Jug amazes me :)

 Don't keep that cockpit light on too long though Scott, you don't want to give jerry too many hints on where you are.

Keeps looking better and better, can't wait to get this one :D .

Beautiful! :D

Scott, are you sure those screenshots are of the one for WOV and not the real thing that you're showing?

Scott,

That is the most realistic cockpit interior I have ever seen !

The only thing that I can think of that it may lack is dust flying up past your face during negative G's.

One thing I just noticed from looking at the second pic is that there are two RPM guages, one of them looks like a normal RPM guage, and the other is labeled Turbo :?
What is the difference between these two?

Thanks,
redrooster.

The RPM gauges is engine RPM while the turbo is the turbo fan RPM. As you gain altitude, the turbo spins faster to continue to provide enough fuel / air to the engine.

Thanks for the quick reply Scott :)
Just for clarification, is the turbo fan the same thing as a turbocharger?
