Hi, i installed bobii international + latest patch + addes dx9 (windows 7-64, card ati hd4870 1gb).
The game works and even if i just made some basic tests, it seem to be a great one ! I am now mapping axys and keys ...
Problems: sometimes when i exit form an instant mission i have a "screen freeze" and i had to manually restart the pc.
Yesterday i made some changes to the keys and then i saved the new configuration. At the moment i pressed "save", i had for some seconds a "blue screen" with white text (a kind of old style crash, it is for the first time since i bought the pc 3 years ago) and afterwards automatically the pc restarted.
AND worst of all, when i reentered the game, all my keys manually remapped disappeared ... to tell the truth ALL the mapped keys disappeared, manually and default. The axys mapping was still there.
what happened ?
whiche files should i backup to be sure to not lose my keys+axys mapping any more ?
blue screen (game crash)

Re: blue screen (game crash)
thank you stickman
i am trying to understand what happens because i sometimes have blue screen followed by crash and automatic pc restart, and sometimes during the action suddenly my screen becomes black an i con not do anything but manually reset the pc.
under the "compatibility" where i selected "runs ad administrator" i selected "run compatibility Windows xp" and now it seem it has less problems ... does it make sense to you ?

Re: blue screen (game crash)
blackshark,
I have an old Windows 7 Computer.
Right Click on the BoBII launch icon.
Select Properties, then Compatibility.
Here is my setup which works good for Win7:
Do not try and force it to use Wndows XP mode.
You should not get any Blue Screen of Death.
I cannot remember the last time I saw one. The year 2004?
Not the computer expert around here, only a BoBII developer, that makes things that will definitely NOT crash a computer.
What Operating System are you using?
Know ye, Windows 8 does not work with BoBII.

Re: blue screen (game crash)
I believe axes are saved differently from other key settings,
and are written to settings.cfg in the savegame folder.

Re: blue screen (game crash)
PV,
The settings.cfg file in the SAVEGAME folder is changed every time you change
joystick settings in the Options > Controls > Custom menu.
I just tried a change, and SAVEGAME\settings.cfg is changing there.
OK. May need to back this file up, too.

blackshark,
Here is how I have my SAITEK X-52 setup:
Never mind the Germans! I got tired of looking at the same old stock issue menu art.
