I'm experiencing some crashes to desktop with BOB 2.12 & wanted to check Direct X so ran Dxdiag & it tells me I have Direct X Version
9.0c (4.09.0000.0904). I wanted to know if this is current or if not, what is?
Thanks.

Direct X
Re: Direct X
I tried to install one from 2011 & the installation said it was not necessary so it must be current?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Direct X
9.0c is the last version. From April of last year, I think.

Re: Direct X
Of course, they're all called 9.0c, and have been since about 2004. Ifstickman wrote:9.0c is the last version. From April of last year, I think.
you have the latest version, you should find in your Windows\system32\
folder a series of files called D3DX9_nn.dll where nn runs from 24 to 43,
at least. A sufficiently current DX9.0c will have those files present. Anything
less than 43 will be liable to give you problems.
On the other hand, if you are running BoB2, you are OK - if you are missing
the files you will be dead in the water within a few seconds of starting the 3D.
Re: Direct X
Yep all present & correct Sir, D3DX9_24.dll to D3DX9_43.dll so that means we are up to steam.
