Tiger Moth

Post by paulmort »

Have uninstalled the dreaded Tiger Moth as since I ran BOB with it in, every aircraft has the engine sound of a Tiger Moth.
Not worth the hassle.

The best way to use the TM is to first make a full parallel copy of your
main BoB2 install, renaming the root folder BoBStock or something; then
do an install of the TM add-on over your original install. Now, rename the
root folder of this install to something like BoBTM. Now you have two installs,
but your registry only knows about one with a root folder probably called
C:\Battle of Britain II if you used the default install process originally.
So When you want to run one of the two you have, you just rename its
root folder to C:\Battle of Britain II. The next time you switch you have
to first rename your active install root folder back to its storage name, before
renaming the other from its storage name to the active name. This is a relatively
quick and painless process, and as the 1Gig BoB2 occupies isn't much space
these days, it isn't any inconvenience. If you're an old DOS wizard, you can
write a .bat file to automate the whole process.
