Runtime Error

Post by paulmort »

I am getting an occasional crash to desktop with a Runtime Error? No idea what this is but found this in the config file OPTIMISE_OBJECTS_DURING_RUNTIME=OFF Would turning this to ON make any difference?
Thanks.

Hi Paul!
The A4 manual says:

"OPTIMISE_OBJECTS_DURING_RUNTIME=OFF
This is now left off due to a “gigantic buildings” bug that has been introduced with the new buildings "

So I don´t think turning this option ON will be a good idea ;)

About your CTD you should give much more detailed information about your system configuration and your BoBII installation (HW info, Windows info, BoBII version, mods...)

(Running BOB 2.12) (Pentium D 3.0GHz) (Windows XP Pro SP3) (NVidia GeForce210) (3GHz Ram)
Using high settings to keep ground objects in game. Hope this helps ?

Hi Paul!
I´m not an expert but I think your graphic card is very limited to run the game in Full glory. Try reducing effects
Also try "LANDSCAPE_TEXTURE_SIZE = 0"

For this line, there are only two choices, 1024 for lower resolution and 2048 for a higher resolution.

LANDSCAPE_TEXTURE_SIZE = 2048

Thank you Stickman!
So the manual is a little outdated ;)
