Gentlemen,
With the help of Creepycrawl, PV, and Buddye, I got my copy of BoBII-WoV installed and updated to 2.11. However, I have one slight problem. Although I have installed the 2.11 multiskin patch successfully, it does not seem to be working in the game. No matter what skin I choose for my crate, I keep getting a default skin. For example, my Spitfire is always DW*O no matter what skin I choose. I am very happy to be up and running again but would be much happier if I could get the multiskin to work. Anyone care to take a stab at what might be wrong? Thanks.

Up And Flying Again, But With A Small Problem
Re: Up And Flying Again, But With A Small Problem
OK, first, having run the installer, there should be a folder
called "multiskin" full of files in your BoB2 folder. (And a
subfolder called "multiskin textures"). Next, you need to check
that
MULTI_SKIN_MODE=ENABLE is set in bdg.txt, I believe the
install process looks after that. Now, when you select a
quick mission, the aircraft parameter should offer you lots
of different squadrons to choose from, and each should
display a different letter code; as well, each position in
the squadron, for those missions offering that selection
screen, will result in a different individual letter code, and
depending on the specific squadron, individual units may
have differing paint schemes or decals.

PV,
Thank you for your quick and helpful response. I am such a techno-dunce. I downloaded the multiskin patch to my PC then extracted it to my BoBII file but forgot to "install" it. Everything is fine now. Thanks again for your help.
Cheers

Not to worry, we should make our patch instructions clearer,
and I'm on it.
