Hi everyone, newbie here.
I've been playing BoB 2 for almost a year now, and have just bought my third joystick after the trigger snapped on my Saitek Cyborg.
My new joystick is a Speedline SS-6640 Black Widow Flightstick.
I can't get the throttle to work. I've been into Contol Panel/Printers and other hardware/Game controllers and done the properties test, and everything is working fine, but then when I load the game, the throttle will not work.
There's obviously something I've overlooked or need to change, but I'm blowed if I can work it out.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Tetley,

I haven't had the opportunity to play for some while but if you are in the controller screen. You will need to click on the advanced button, which will bring up a screen with all the suitable options. Come down to the throttle setting and to the right of the throttle setting. Click with your mouse do not touch any buttons or the mouse and just operate your throttle control. Once you see it has set. Click save and then it should work.

I hope I've got that right.

:) Don't forget you also have the option to reverse the movement if it maps the wrong way round.

Thanks trumper. I think I tried that, but will have another look.
By the way, the new joystick is a Speedlink, not Speedline.

Oops.

Right, I went into Options/Contols/Custom, and my throttle is set to the mouse.
My ailerons etc are set to the joystick.
Tried to reset the throttle to the joystick, but failed.
How do I do it please?

In Options/Contols/Custom,

Left click on the assigned axis column for the throttle, it should high light in red (do not move the mouse), then move the throttle on your joystick and it should pick up the throttle.

Picture shows results after the above process is completed.

Thanks Buddye.
I now have throttle!!

It's back to front, i,e. min throttle is now max, and vice versa.
I'll get used to that though.
Thanks again.

NOOOOOO,you can reverse it, [i can't remember if there is a reverse tick box]
Failing that move the joystick towards you [minimum power] THEN redo the throttle click assignment only this time push the throttle forward and save :)

In Options/Contols/Custom,

Left click on the In-Game axis column for the throttle, it should high light in red , then can select reverse out to the right.

BTW, this is all in your User manual which is located in your BOBII folder in the Docs folder under Controls if you forget.

Yay. And it's job done.
I now have correct throttle

Thanks to Trumper and Buddye for the help.
So far, I can recommend this Speedlink stick. So cheap from Amazon. It's got a lovely precise feel to it, and has the rudder control on the throttle quadrant.
It's German built, so hopefully it'll last a while
I was quite disappointed when the trigger snapped on my Cyborg, just as I was going head-on with a 109.
Thanks again people.

P.S. Buddye, I've never had a user manual with this game. Maybe just didn't download for some reason.

If you have 2.11 installed the User Manual is in your BOBII folder in the Docs folder.

You can also download a copy here (BTW, the 2.10 User Manual is the newest we have):

viewtopic.php?f=17&t=10938

The User Manual is a must have if you want to use and take advanage of all the Keys, Options , and features in BOBII. Just scan it so you will know where the information is located and use Appendix A (Bdg.txt) and Appendix H (Key Description) for your keys and options.
