Bucic,

As nobody has offered to put them up on a site. I thought I had better try them before I put them up on my website.

I find that I still have to put BoB2 into compatibility mode for XP. As you commented this should not be needed. I thought I had to get your comments first.

I also normally put these items in a directory that is not visible on my site. So I would need yours and BDG's permission to make it visible on my site. Once I know what is happening. I will make the link available in the usual way.
Prem.

I don't have to turn on anything from compatibility options nor to run bob.exe as administrator and the videos play fine.

I have UAC on my system completely disabled as I use a fully integrated security suite (Comodo Internet Security).

has anyone tried doing this?

go to your all programes on your pc, find bob2 and right click on it with out starting the game, you should now have a box drop down and click on restore to previous versions, then go to security and click on it, go to and click on edit and click on full control. then tick all the boxes that aply and the save changes. close this box then open the bob2 game as if you want to play it and all the in game video's should now work.

if they don't then i'm not sure what you can do. i have just done the above and i have windows 7 home and it's worked for me.

Anyone got these that I can extract without RAR and just normal windows extraction. I think I've picked up an dislike on RAR, I used to use it but in last year at my job seen I think a few too many customers sites with RAR cocking up the extraction or the GUI mucking up. Also about desktop composition, states upon installation about the Win 7 fix to the shortcuts that this is needed?
In the RAF they say an landing's ok, when the pilot gets out and can still walk away.
But in the FAA the prospect is grim, when the landings piss-poor and the pilot can't swim.
Cracking show, I'm Alive, But I've still got to render my A25!

Gone again. If anyone has them still, could you share them with me on Dropbox?

I've just checked my HDD - the files are gone. Perhaps someone else keeps a copy.

Here's a copy of my originals again, if anyone wants to try them. I know Bucic says they're encoded badly, but honestly I can't tell the difference between these and the originals. They play fine on my PC with no stuttering at all. The aspect ratio looks right, and they're not terribly huge; the whole zip is only 60MB. Also there is no evaluation watermark. Honestly, I don't know what he's talking about. Everything he's criticized doesn't seem to apply to my converted videos. Probably his media player or his installed codec is an evaluation version and that's causing the watermark he sees. Media player Classic, VLC, and BoB2 show no watermarks or stuttering at all on my PC.

If you have any problems with skydrive, remember 2 things: First, on the upper-right corner of the page are buttons to control the view. Second, if you are required to login before downloading, you can login with any old email account that's microsoft-based (MSN, Hotmail, Outlook.com, etc).

Tried the new video files, and install indeo codec. Didn't work.
The only thing that works to see the videos are: using windows xp service pack 2 / 3 compatibility.
The only problem then, is that the game crashes after a few seconds ;)

For what it's worth,,,
I had to do a complete wipe and reinstall of Win7 for reasons I won't go into.

So reinstalled //BoBII//update v2.11//multiskin//DirectX// then //run in compatibility mode for Win7//run as Administrator// and for whatever reason,,,vids now show up.
:o but it's good to have them back,,,if for no other reason than just because.

 Who knows the workings of the human mind???
Actually, it doesn't make any difference what compatibility mode I run it ,,,including Vista, but the option has to be checked or no vids.

Prior experience has been that XP compatibility mode
allowed vids, but caused the 3D to crash. ...but yes,
I see I now have the option of running in W7 comp
mode on my W7 machine. I don't know if that has always
been there and I just never noticed it; maybe it was
so inconceivable that I never registered it, or maybe it
quietly grew there as a result of one of the Windows
updates. Maybe that will turn out to be a cure for other
odd things. I would like that, it would appeal greatly to
my sense of the absurd. Perhaps BoB2 will run on a W8
machine if one can select W8 comp mode on that.
