OK, took my copy of BoBII with me over to a mates house this evening, and let him give it a test drive so-to-speak.

Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 1022MB RAM
[snip]
Card name: 128MB DDR ATI Radeon 9800 Pro

81 FPS average on a P4/3GHz and 9800 Pro? There is hope yet!!! :D

Interesting, is that a Hyperthreaded processor? My dxdiag output doesn't show 2, but I don't have HT enabled. He is using XP Home, which last I knew can't benefit from dual processors.

Good news :).

The strange thing is that the limiter did not do his thing - I will have a quick look. But since I change that anyway in the patch (did most of thwe work yesterday, will test right after getting offline and then send off to others testers plus look at other things), I am not too interested in the mysteries of the current limiter ;).

We quit, restarted, and flew take-off in a Hurri again - same result, over 90fps.

Quit, went to settings, and turned everything up to MAX.
Started same mission again, but fps down to 25 - 30. Better over sea than land.

I got lost there: What did you max exactly, and have you min`t it before ?
I would naturally like to reproduce the trick ....
Nobody criticized the pilot for making that slow roll. American fighter pilots are supposed to have enough steam in their breeches to try something out of the book once in a while. The fact that he didn't make it was his own business.

Well, the settings were left exactly as they were from the initial install of the game - except for assigning the j/stick axis. With this initial setting, we got 90+ fps on my friends PC.

From this with the later experiments, every single option was turned to the highest maximum value possible.

hope this helps!

Cheers!

Thank you.

with the default install and the OPTIMISE_OBJECTS_AT_RUNTIME=ON
Option in bdg, I make around 28 fps in the lone fighter vs. lone bomber scenario.
- so, with regards to other posters, I am consierding myself lucky ... but I would like to get around 30 fps if possible ....
