GMX CD

Post by Oli »

Hello Scott,
read that you'll get GMX copies of the released game to test it.

Nice, because I was quite surprised about the content of BoB2's directory on my HD : still a Bob.exe (thought it would be Bob2.exe) and a lot of "old" BDG files wich are still present (are they really needed ?). I think about the language files which are still there but with their old screens.

In fact I was looking for a manner of getting a french install and when I saw what was the content, I really wondered wether it was the correct stuff or not...

Hope it could help you.

Another thing :
I have an AMD XP 2400+ ; RAM 1 Go ; Windows XP Home SP2 ; ATI Radeon 9600 SE 128 Mo running with Omega driver 2.6.42.
After install, without changing anything, the game ran at 10 FPS max but smooth without stutter (i tested a free flight, so only 1 plane in flight).
Config was 1024x768x32bits ; weather medium ; all other Gfx set to high ; no reflection (i mean no mirror).
Is it normal with this config ?

Oli,

We were not going to change things just to do it. When you are working with someone else's code base, we try to make no assumptions so we only made changes on a need-to-do basis.

Scott.

OK Scott,

Thanks for the answer.

So i understand it's normal. Correct ?

Now, i wait patiently for the patch and won't bother you anymore.

You're making a good job.
