CTD

Post by Tally-Ho »

Just had a CTD, don't get them often now. I looked in the BDG_OUT.txt file and saw this at the end

What interests me is the first message which states a 64mb video card is probably a problem. My video card has 128mb.

yeah
I see that all the time. I have the BDG-out file active and see that everytime I have started the game.
Seems there is a problem with D3D somewhere.

Reading this just made me check too, and I'm getting the same message, and my card is 256mb

Are we on to something here I wonder :?:

I looked at the framerate smoothening (limiter) code yesterday and saw that that debug output is still in there. It is a bit strange, since I did check that for me the bdg_out.txt does not grow. I will investigate again tomorrow. We are working on the patch right now. It will unfotunately not fix all issues (at least if we ship it very soon), but will have several improvements, mainly re the smoothener and the controller code.

Good grief - don't put that patch out too early!! I would rather have the big issues, like the CTDs, fixed.

Yeah Osram ... at least wait for the U.S. boys to get it and try it for a couple weeks. :)
