Low cloud layer textures covering ground/air objects

Post by madbadvlad »

Another weird texture anomaly I have noticed while airborne is that frequently the low cloud layer appears to interface with, and overlap, ground or air objects that are actually a long way below the cloud layer.
Below is an example - look at the tops of the radar masts. They appear to be shrouded by mist, but this is in fact the cloud layer which is 100s if not thousands of feet above. I have also seen the cloud textures covering aircraft flying close to ground level

That's weird, the same bug exists in MS Flight Sim 2004. It's usually caused by transparent DXT3 textures in that sim. Obviously, I have no idea about this one.

Hhmm.. Maybe you do have the idea. I'll let the coders take this one.
