Changing Keymapping

I've got a Saitek X45 and I can't change any keyboard mapping with it plugged in...as soon as I try to change mapping, it tries to map to A1_b10 which is a real pain in the arse. Any help?
To do List: Flying Corps Remake, Mig Alley II, RAF Jet sim (Tornado/Harrier/Vulcan/Typhoon/Buccaneer/Jaguar etc.), RAF WWII bomber sim...

I use the X45 and only map keystrokes to it using the SAITEK software Profile Editor.
I can map analog functions to it OK using the In Game Controllers GUI.
