Just returned to Bob ll after many years in the wilderness. My familiarity has grown very hazy and I need some basic help.
First I only use a basic old Flightstick Pro but I would like to map Button 2 to the target labelling task (T)--but cant find where to remap keyboard functions to stick buttons.
I also wonder if there is any way to zoom in on the external view more closely to the aircraft than the numeric pad+ seems to allow.
I would be very grateful for any help with these 2 issues (there may be more) and,as someone who lived through the Battle of Britain as a schoolboy, would like to thank and congratulate all those involved in the continuing improvements in this very evocative sim
Cheers

Here is what the screen should look like. In the example I am mapping the "T" key to my joystick button #8:

Image

In the Bdg.txt change the following line

External_View_Starting_Distance = 1.300000 #Sets the starting distance from the A/C in external view NOTE: set to 1.3 to get the old distance

Thanks for the help---sorted out the button mapping but a little confused re setting the external view distance. Where exactly do I locate the Bdg txt to change the Ext_View_Start_Dist
With apologies if I am missing the obvious.

PS Just located the bdg.txt and adjusted the external view distance

Thanks

I assume you have version 2.11 updtae installed. If you do the user manual is in the BOBII folder in the docs folder.

Appendix A is the Bdg.txt help and appendix is the key discriptions.
