Nav Lighting

Post by FAC257 »

I've noticed that in the aircraft.cfg file for the 190s that there is just a very basic entry for lighting that does not actually list the nav lights. Are the nav lights that appear on the 190s a hard coded type effect and can I change them?

I don't think there's anything wrong with the way they look but was just thinking about modernizing my touring warbird with the flashing lights used by the P-51. I wanted to test it out to see if it looked okay.

A6 Trivia

I did end up re-vamping my A6 lighting a little and I like the effect. I just re-mapped the WOP red and green nav lights over top the default A6 nav lights and added the flashing strobes.

In case you want to try it here's the lighting section for the A6's aircraft.cfg file.

--------------------

[lights]

//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing

light.0 = 4, -4.20, 0, 2.28, fx_vclight
light.1 = 3, -1.46, -17.33, .6, fx_WOP_navred_sm
light.2 = 3, -1.46, 17.33, .6, fx_WOP_navgre_sm
light.3 = 3, -1.46, -17.33, .6, fx_WOP_strobewhi2
light.4 = 3, -1.46, 17.33, .6, fx_WOP_strobewhi

--------------------

The only thing I still haven't been able to do is to kill the default A6 small bulb looking lights underneath these new ones.
