My buddy said to watch for him dropping his tanks in the P-47, but I didnt see em drop...are they animated?

Hmm...I don't have the Jug, so I wouldn't know, I thought they were. I suspect you couldn't see them for the same reason you usually can't see other people's effects in multiplayer, though I seem to recall there's a special module add-on for that.

Not sure of this myself, I think they just blank out the tank graphics and that nothing actually drops from the aircraft.

They just sort of disappear.


However, in B-17II TME, you can watch the drop tanks on all the fighters head to earth once you drop them.

The wing tank dropping is animated on the P-47. Really cool to see.

The drop tank and bomb animation are great. Unfortunately these animations aren't sent in multiplayer(as far as I know this is a FS2004 limitation).
