Help on repainting P-51

Post by WND »

Hello everyone:

I'm new to this board however I've had the WOp 51 for quite some time and I'm looking for someone to do a re-paint for me - for which I do not know howto do!

My brother used to own one and I'd like to do one in the colors he had.

If anyone could help, I sure would appreciate it.

Thanks; :)

Bill D.

Not that I'm any good at painting these things, just want to see what it looked like.

Bill,

I'll vouch for Ron. He does excellent work, and created 'American Beauty' at my request.

Thanks Ron and WH. I'll send a couple of pics as soon as I get this done. However a quick little story!

When he sold it in 1991 it went to Europe. I found out a couple of weeks ago that it's back in the states - belonging to an outfit in Virginia. (Fighterfactory.com)

They have some pics of it on their website also.

Again, many many thanks

That must be Double Trouble Two.

I always liked that scheme! :D

Would be nice to have this as a repaint.

I'd also like to vouch for Ron; at the drop of a hat he remade Lou IV into a green version, ostensibly more authentic (but not as pretty) as the blue one!

He's a true artist.

Just a quick note to all:

I"m no longer in need of someone helping me re-paint a p-51.

Ron jumped in and came to the rescue and I received my finished "bird" today and have to say it is Excellant!

I want to publicly thank Ron for his time and effort - it looks great and fly's great!!

Thanks Ron :D :D
