Landing Gear Fairing Doors

Post by Hollister »

Is there a way to open the landing gear fairing doors after shutdown?

Thanks,

If my memory serves me correct (from working on them), there was a handle that released the hydrulic pressure in the system. Once that occurred, then the "inner" doors would blead down.

Where that handle is on the WOP 51 I don't know - haven't really looked for it!! :?

Hello Bill,

The handle is there just to the right of the fuel selector.

I don't believe it's modeled as the handle will not move.

It releases the Fairing door locks and bleeds off the hydraulic pressure allowing the Fairing doors to open. The left door moves a lever in the left wheel well that locks the Gear Lever in the down position, preventing the gear from being raised on the ground.
