Hi A2A,

I have just tried my A2A P-51 since recently updating FSX with SP2. I have noticed now that some of the screws and data plates are transparent, though I'm only guessing it's a SP2 issue.

Any ideas?

It will be fixed in an upcoming free patch. The Spitfire and ME109 have already been patched and I believe the P47 is next in line for release. There is quite a bit of work to do to get them up to full FSX SP2/Accel standards and the P51 was the worst affected aircraft when MS moved the goalposts with the SP2/Accel release .

Any news on the 'upcoming' patch to fix transparent cockpit textures?

The WOPII P-47 solo + FSX SP2 update will be released soon, once thats out the accu-sim pack for the p47 will be developed further and the P-51 update for SP2 will be done. We are trying to do this plane by plane, the spit and 109 already being done.

Is the P-47 FSX SP2 just a update or will there be a full install? Should I go ahead and purchase the P-47 for FS9 and install the update when it is released?

Update for ww2 fighters pack P47D (FSX) and solo.

Unless you are going to get the pack you will have to wait to buy this P47. The update is for the ww2 fighters P47D not the current FS9 P47 'pack'
