strange behavior after update, most a2a-aircraft

Post by Flyvita »

After installing the update A2A_Update_9_16_18.EXE it looks like I have serious problems with my a2a fleet:
my configuration:
- FSX accleration
- WIN7

after installation, my favorite a2a planes do crazy stuff:
P51: no VC sounds, all buttons are not working
Comanche: strange sounds, jumping
Bonanza: Propeller continues to turn on cold and dark

By contrast, the following a2a aircraft are ok:
- t-6
- conny
- c-172

I did the following:
- all a2a aircraft unistall
- deleted all a2a folders (fsx\simobjects\a2a- aircraft, user\documents\a2a
- reinstall aircraft / update_9_16_18 / restart

unfortunately no success. I checked that again. The errors only appear after installing the last updater. maybe there is a problem with the autentification?
greetings
joerg

Hi Joerg - welcome to the A2A forums.

Sorry to hear you're having some problems.

Please can you try uninstalling and reinstalling just the Bonanza and see if it fixes the issues you're describing? Please don't run the "A2A_Update_9_16_18" after doing so.

Thanks,
Nick

hello nick,
thanks for the feedback. I uninstalled and reinstalled the bonanza. I did the following:
- uninstall bonanza
- delete all related folders user \ document \ a2a and fsx \ a2a and \ fsx \ simobjects \ a2a bonanza
- restart
- install a2a bonanza incl. the automatic update only for the bonanza
- restart
- start fsx with standard flight (MS Cessna)
- load a2a bonanza

Unfortunately without success. The propeller turns despite the engine switched off.
I think it's a common problem as several of my a2a planes suddenly make these strange problems. as already written, I have reinstalled all a2a products, except accu-feel, despite these problems with P-51, Comanche, Bonanza.

Hi Joerg,

Thanks for posting the videos.

Please could you try loading the default C172SP at a simple default airport, verify everything is working as expected, and then try switching to one of your A2A aircraft. I noticed FPS in your second video in particular is very low (6-7 FPS) so it's probably best to troubleshoot with default scenery and weather etc.

Please can you also let us know the file version of the "A2A_Accusim.dll" in:
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Gauges
Thanks,
Nick

Hello Nick,
I did the following:
- load standard flight with ms cessna without weather addon/ Addon Airport = no problems, FPS stable 30 (locked at 30)
- load A2A Bonanza = problems as usual, FPS stable 28
- load A2A Comanche = problems as usual, FPS stable 29 - 30

The A2A_Accusim.dll version is 18.9.13.1

Thank you in advance for your help!
greetings
Joerg

Hello Joerg,

Thank you for the info. It look like the A2A_Accusim.dll is indeed outdated.

Please can you try the following:
  1. Uninstall just the Bonanza.
  2. Manually delete the "A2A_Accusim.dll" from the "Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Gauges" folder, and also delete the "accusim" and "accusim_xml" folders from within the "Gauges" directory too.
  3. Reinstall the Bonanza and run the update when prompted.
Thanks,
Nick

Hello Nick,
thank you for your help. Unfortunately, it looks like I have bigger problems with my FSX installation. I will therefore rebuild my system and hope that the a2a fleet will work again.
best regards
Joerg

Hello Nick,
I switched to P3Dv4. Now everything works fine for me.
One question: How can I use my Flying Hours when buying A2A aircraft for P3Dv4? At the checkout the discount option is not displayed. No Flying Hours only coupon.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Greetings Joerg

Hello,

during checkout you can apply the flying hours to your purchase, the option is given during checkout and you can use as many points as you have to apply the discount.

Hello Lewis,
On my last purchase, the bonanza, I was offered this option at the checkout and I used it. Now I want to buy another plane, But the option on the checkout page is not displayed to me at all. In my account, however, I have 250 Flying Hours. Can you please check that, thank you!
Greetings Joerg
