(Its Back) Bonanza Only Aircraft Broken

Post by dscott3984 »

Running P3Dv4 and I have multiple red parts in the mx hangar and the aircraft won't start.

All other A2A aircraft are working and I verified that the SimConnect clients are installed. Anything else other than SimConnect that can cause this?

Only thing new is one repaint I installed. Everything worked great last night.

Undo that repaint and try again to see if it works. A repaint install gone awry can cause this trouble.

I was thinking that but dismissed it since I’ve installed a ton of them and never had that problem with A2A but I will give it a try as soon as I can and report back.

EDIT: Just deleted the texture file and took the part out of the cfg and no change

If the Bonanza was working okay before you installed the repaint, I'd recommend you try uninstalling and reinstalling.

In the event this doesn't work, you could also try backing up and then deleting the "Documents\A2A\FSX\Bonanza35" directory*.

Thanks,
Nick

*Even for P3Dv4 users, the persistent aircraft state is stored in this folder.

Un-Install/Re-Install with a delete of the Bonanza35 file did the trick.

Thank y'all for the help and getting me back in the air!

Well I did not change anything to my install and it has done it again this morning. Everything is broken and no cockpit sounds at all coming from the switches.

Nothing changed on my computer or flight sim programs from last time the bonanza was working and this is starting to get frustrating when I have time to fly for an hour but end up troubleshooting for that time instead.

Sounds like a problem with SimConnect initialising this time.

How are you loading the Bonanza in the sim? If you've saved it within your default P3D scenario, that's one common mistake which can cause this issue.

Thanks,
Nick

I have not had a problem with this but how do you recommend loading the Bo. More directly what do you recommend for a default flight. Sorry if this is covered somewhere but I did not see it.

Thanks
Sam

Hi.
the default flight in FSXA is the micro light at friday harbour , i believe the f22 is the default flight in P3D.

Hi Sam - there's no need to stick with the exact default flight that comes with FSX or P3D, particularly the silly FSX one that starts you in mid air. However, we recommend only using default FSX or P3D aircraft for your default flight. Complex add-ons (by 'complex' I mean ones which use custom code - it could be a Piper Cub or a 777) shouldn't be saved in the default flight in this way, and this applies to all the Accu-Sim aircraft.

Thanks,
Nick

I start my flight with the f22 at Eglin as P3D is set up. then I switch to the Bo from the new flight menu.

It seems to only happen when I switch to the Bo and immediately go into the walkaround checklist.

Okay - thanks for the info. Please can you verify if you've installed yesterday's update for the Bonanza? For the P3D4 version, it's 18.9.29.0. More info here. It may not fix your issue but it's a good place to start.

Thanks,
Nick
