Hi
As I was crossing the Atlantic today I noticed the lamps for the tip tank pumps vent out as the tank was empty. Is this correct operation? I assumed the lights were on when the pumps is on, not to indicate flow. Fuel transfer took 1 hour to complete is that normal?

Re: Questions about the tip tank pumps
I guess the lights indicate fuel pressure from the pumps. So when the tanks are empty, they go out.Tomas Linnet wrote:Hi

When I like to do basic flying, I turn to A2A Aircraft, cause A2A "basic" flying means "complex" procedures.
Re: Questions about the tip tank pumps
Real transfer time is approximately 50 minutes to 1 hour and automatically (shuts off pump) stops transferring when the Tip Tank(s) empties. So expected flow rate is ~20gph.
Data is for tanks made by J.L. Osborne
D'Shannon's model has transfer rate of approx. 15gph:

Re: Questions about the tip tank pumps
As Jarek said, the automatic shutoff is present in the Accu-Sim Bonanza.
