flaps issue

Post by alan CXA651 »

Hi.
Last night after flying the Bo , i left the flaps full down , today on spawning at EGPB , the flaps where still full down , ready for my preflight walk around , but on selecting the batt for the lights check during walk around , my flaps , instantly came from full down to full up , without the flap motor running , and i had to reselect the full down.
I am useing FSXA with controls going through FSUIPC win 7/64 home premium system.

Hi Scott.
on my FSXA / WIN7 64 op system.
To reproduce the fault , i followed the proceedure below:-
1/. all my controls go through FSUIPC except the cowl flaps , which go through you aircraft control configurator.
2/. cold & dark with flaps full down from previous flight.
3/. inspection carried out in the hangar all was well.
4/. put the batt / alt on then put my lights on for the walk around check .
5/. after the walk around check batt off and loaded the aircraft with pax and fuel.
6/. closed the door and batt on and started the engine.
7/. on selection of flaps to bring them from full down to 20 deg , flaps came full up instantly no flap motor running.
when i reported the issue , i thought the flaps came up instantly on batt on selection , i was wrong .

I can confirm this. Same scenario. I can also add that the flap position indicator was in the up position, and as soon as i flipped the battery switch it jumped to the full down position.

I also have this. When loading a new flight, flaps usually set to 10 degrees after shutdown of last flight, for walkaround next time (almost always do this ahead of time.) The flap gauge shows 10 degrees deflection, and it shows outside the aircraft also. Whenever I go to lower or raise the flaps, they immediately jump to full retracted or 0 degrees.

Hi Scot

Great job with the Bonanza really is a remarkable model and a dream to fly now I have got used to is flight model. I am guessing you are collecting a list of errors. I have found a very minor one. On approach I realized my flaps were not operating. I proceeded with a Flaps UP landing and after shut down found the CB for the flap motor had tripped. Reset c/o and operational test Satis. Next day on the Preflight Insp - found excessive movement on the RIGHT flap however the Pre Fight photos of the linkages and hangar inspection details showed and stated LEFT Flap Failure. A part from this minor error the failures I have experience so far are fantastically modeled and realistic. Well Done A2A..

I have screenshots but files to large to add.
