Hello. I have installed my Bonanza NOT to my addon folder.. Just to a Simojects/A2A folder. It shows a green bar and installs some things then just hangs at the part listed in title above.
Windows 7 x64 Pro P3D v4 up to date. I'm running as admin too.
Any ideas? After I purchased I restarted my PC.
EDIT: Here's some additional info hopefully it helps.

If I terminate the exe and try to re run it later it tells me the msi file is being used by another process. Here is the install failure log as well:

Also note that I tried to install it to another physical drive and NOT my C drive.

Thanks, also re-installed .net framework 3.5 I believe - didn't seem to help.

Re: Installer freezes at "Preparing Files for Removal"
I ran into problems installing, but I got it sorted after some gnashing of teeth. For the first time ever, my antivirus got in the way, so I'd suggest switching it off or creating exemptions for anything A2A.
Hope this helps,
Mike

Hi Ryan,
Sorry you've had some difficultly with the installation.
Yes - please can you let us know if you have any anti-virus software running during installation, and if so, which one?
Also, a couple of other user have reported that the new installer gets stuck on"preparing files for removal". In this case, the following solution worked:
- Open Task manager.
- Find the cmd.exe process.
- Shut down the process.
Thanks,
Nick
P.S. Mike - just out of interest, which AV software caused problems in your case?

Re: Installer freezes at "Preparing Files for Removal"
I already had my AV disabled. It was just MSE
Ending the command shell during install fixed it. Thanks

Re: Installer freezes at "Preparing Files for Removal"
Okay, thanks for the update Ryan and glad to hear you've been able to install successfully. Not clear why this happens in a tiny minority of case, but it's likely down to some specific of how your OS is configured.
Best regards,
Nick

I'm using AVG, both antivirus and their PC tune up program. I'm certain it was the antivirus as I got a message headed AVG checking files during the first install, but it OK'd them and didn't check again on second install.
Hope this helps,
Mike

Re: Installer freezes at "Preparing Files for Removal"
Okay, thanks Mike.
AVG was one of the AV engines I tested against during development of the installers. Whilst alert windows popped-up, IIRC accepting them allowed the installation to proceed normally. However, these thing change all the time so it's hard to rule out AV false-positives, especially with the live update tool.
Cheers,
Nick
